The Pelgorskoye peat railway ((ロシア語:Пельгорское), ') is located in Leningrad Oblast, Russia. The peat railway was opened in 1950, and has a total length of currently operational. The track gauge is .〔(Pelgorskoe peat railway )〕 == Current status == The Pelgorskoye peat railway emerged in the 1950s in the Tosnensky District in a settlement named Ryabovo. The railway was built for hauling peat and workers, and operates year-round with several pairs of trains a day.〔(Pelgorskoe peat railway history )〕 In 2001 the Pelgorskoe-M Peat Company started replacing equipment and repairing the narrow gauge railway between the mine and the processing facilities. A peat factory was built and put into operation in 2004.
